My name is Karen Geier and I love to cook, but more importantly, I love to eat.

There are a million food blogs out there, but I wanted a place to dump all of my recipes, tips and tricks because most food blogs:

  • Have terrible layouts
  • Have extraneous stories before each recipe
  • Require searching or clicking through page after page
  • Have invasive pop ups
  • Have mostly bad (and not useful) recipes
  • Are basically formulas for dumping pre-made food together

My goal is to never live up to this stereotype. I only want to provide you with information about how to cook or do food projects quickly, easily, safely, and without a lot of BS.

I’ve also written about food in the past, so, I will have some stories, but they will be in their own section.

What’s My Dang Kitchen about?

It’s about the kind of food that I cook in my relatively small urban kitchen, sourcing good ingredients, sharing how to use gear that will save you time and effort, sharing tips, techniques and shortcuts to get to the eating part faster, and how to do food projects you never thought you could, including fermentation, growing fruits and veg, and baking good ass bread.

It’s a lot, but the goal is to take it and make it simple.

Oh, and nothing here is made out of 6 cans of stuff dumped into a Crock Pot.
